Synopsis:

Jimmy (Roshan Mathew) meets Anu (Darshana Rajendran) on an online dating site and falls in love with her. Both of them are living in UAE. He decides to marry her and informs the same to her and his mother at the same time via video call. His mother entrusts her nephew and Jimmy’s cousin Kevin (Fahadh Faasil) a tech expert to background check her details. Kevin checks her personal details hacking her social media accounts and concludes that she is genuine. Jimmy feels very happy and is eager to tie the knot. But the movie takes a strange turn here and the following events lead to the arrest of Jimmy by UAE police. Upon the arrest of Jimmy, Kevin takes the matter seriously and starts further investigation about Anu. The rest of the story unfolds some unexpected twists and truths.

Review:

There are two main highlights of this movie. One is the entire movie was shot during lockdown and the other is 99% of the movie runs only on laptops, computers and smartphones. Even though you watch the entire movie in the form of chats and video calls, you never feel irritated, thanks to Mahesh Narayanan’s gripping screenplay. The film is edited in such a way that you never miss even a minute information and never feel that you are not watching a regular movie. Mahesh Narayanan was damn clear in his mind and thus delivered us a new age cinema. Though it’s not a mind blowing thriller, you never feel bored watching this. The movie keeps you engaging since the beginning till end. You cannot stop guessing the movie throughout the cinema and the director stands upto your expectations. As a production designer cum producer Nazriya Nazim’s work is top notch. 

Artists’ Performance:

Fahadh Faasil as a tech expert is awesome as usual. His concern for his cousin’s life is evident on the screen. Roshan Mathew as a young guy who loves a girl sincerely delivers superb performance. Darshana Rajendran has portrayed her multi shade role excellently. Rest of the actors are adequate in their roles.

Overall, this movie is definitely an eye grabbing thriller. You can surely watch it. It’s available on Prime Video for now.
