It is known that Bahubali star Prabhas will be collaborating with bollywood director Om Raut for the mythological epic ‘Adipurush’. Prabhas will be seen as Lord ‘Rama’ in the film, while Saif Ali Khan playing the role of Lankesh. Lately, there’s an interesting speculation circulating in the film circle that Saif was not the first choice for the role of ‘Lankesh’. According to the sources, Hero Prabhas and director Om Raut earlier wished to have another bollywood superstar in the antagonist role.

Ever since the announcement of the film, there have been many speculations about who all will be playing the roles of well known mythological characters in the film. But makers only revealed the two actors playing the main important roles of Rama and Ravana. While it is evident from the announcement itself that Prabhas is Rama, makers later revealed that Saif Ali khan would be playing the role of Lankesh.

Prabhas fans unhappy with Saif?

When Saif was declared playing the role of Lankesh in the film, there were mixed reports about the maker’s choice. Prabhas fans felt that Saif was not an equal opponent to their favourite. Some even expressed that ‘Bahubali’ antagonist Rana or ‘Singam’ Ajay Devgan would have been a better choice.

Saif was not the first choice for ‘Lankesh’?

Interestingly, hero Prabhas and director Om Raut also seemed to have another thought in the beginning. According to the inside sources, while Om Raut was narrating the story to Prabhas, Prabhas was said to have expressed his liking to see Ajay Devgan in the character of Lankesh. However it didn’t materialise since Singham hero was busy with RRR and other hindi projects.

Ever since this news broke out, fans disappointment has further increased knowing that Saif was not the first choice for the role but was there only because Ajay Devgan hadn’t accepted the offer.
