While interacting with journalists in an online press conference, Anushka spoke about her soon-to-release movie ‘Nishabdham’ and also cleared rumours about her role in Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’ movie. She made it clear that she was not going to be a part of the epic film.

I am not playing ‘Sita’ in Adipurush: Anushka

During the conference, Anushka cleared the rumours about her role in ‘Adipurush’. When asked about the speculations of her playing ‘Sita’ in Adipurush movie, Anushka clarified that the rumour was a mere rumour, that she wasn’t doing any character in the epic drama. She was quoted as saying “I have read news about this epic project. I am quite excited about this film as I want to see Prabhas in such epic roles. As far as the speculations are concerned, I am not going to be part of this project. The news reports that I have signed to play Goddess Sita are baseless”.

I didn’t show interest in direct digital release: Anushka

In the conference, she revealed that she was not so happy with the direct digital release of ‘Nishabdham’, since she always believed that movies are meant for large screens. She reportedly said “I have had my reservations about the direct digital release since I feel movies are meant to be watched on giant screen first. Home-viewing experience is for the second time watch”.

She also hasn’t been seen doing much promotions for the film. This is her first interaction with the media regarding ‘Nishabdham’ movie. The film will begin to stream on Amazon Prime Video from October 2, 2020.

Huge star cast in Nishabdam:

Seemingly, there is quite a huge and interesting star cast in ‘Nishabdham’. Along with Anushka, R.Madhavan and Anjali are playing the lead roles while hollywood veteran Michael Madsen is said to be playing a crucial role in the movie. ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame Shalini Pandey and Subbaraju are among the other important characters. Produced by Kona Venkat, this suspense thriller was directed by Hemant Madhukar.

Besides Cinema, Anushka talked about her routine during lockdown. She mentioned that lockdown had helped her to lead the life on her own terms and enjoy every moment. However, like always, she skipped the topic of her wedding.
