Synopsis:

A batch of four Agricultural Engineering students get inspired by the ideologies of cine hero turned politician Pawan Kalyan. They also want to do something to the society just like their ideal. Hence they choose to help the farmers in building a lift irrigation project in the village. In this process, they approach the concerned minister with the proposal but in vain. This makes them lose faith in the system. So, they loot 200 crores from the minister’s bank account to build the irrigation project by themselves. At this point, a strict cop enters into the scene. Will he able to catch the four students? What happens to them? Will the lift irriagation project be built? These questions form the rest of the story.

Actors’ Performance:

Kartikeya, Abhiram, Harish Gautam and Praveen as service oriented guys did a fabulous job in the film. The entire story revolves around these four characters and they managed it very well. Sunil as a tough police cop seems artificial at times but okay. This is mainly due to the unwanted elevation of his character. Tarakaratna, Sriram, and Srikanth are adequate in their cameo roles. Comedian Prudhvi Raj managed to evoke some laughs. Ajay Gosh is as usual. Remaining actors are okay.

Technical Departments:

Senior director Samudra, after a while, came up with a good concept though it’s routine. Story wise the film gets above average marks. But the director mainly failed in executing the script. He should have spent more time towards screenplay and dialogues. Taking Pawan Kalyan as an inspiration in helping the farmers seems a little bit odd considering Pawan’s political role in recent times.

Coming to the other departments, Editing is not adequate as many scenes end abruptly in the movie. Music is average and background score is too loud for this kind of film. But the production values are decent enough considering the budget of the film.

Movie Analysis:

First forty minutes of the film really test your patience. At one point, you may feel leaving the theatre as the proceedings seem very slow. It’s only after Sunil enter into the scene as a tough cop, the story takes the pace at least. Though the entire film is based on farmers’ problems, you barely get connected to the sentiment. And also, most of the scenes end abruptly which cause more damage to the film. There were some good moments here and there but they are not enough to make the film interesting. On the whole, Samudra came up with a film that is above average at script level but a disaster overall.
